Niall Keenan qualified from Oxford in 2001. He then trained in cardiology in London and also in Paris.

 

He specialises in all aspects of cardiac imaging (echocardiography, cardiac CT and MRI). He has had subspeciality training in advanced heart failure in a transplant centre. Now a consultant at Watford General Hospital, his clinical interests are heart failure, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and stress testing for the evaluation of chest pain and breathlessness.

 

His research interests are mainly related to cardiac MRI. Outside work his interests include sailing, music and literature, and he is active in a several charities
